Community Advocates Lead Women’s Justice Initiative’s Response to Global Pandemic
When the COVID-19 pandemic forced shutdowns across the globe, Women’s Justice Initiative of Guatemala needed to quickly re-think how to continue their work to end violence against girls and women while being limited to the delivery of remote services.
In this online update, “Not even COVID-19 can tear down our network: Community Advocates Lead WJI’s Response to Global Pandemic,” Women’s Justice Initiative shares how they tapped into the organization’s network of Community Advocates to design and implement a new strategy.
They provide a framework for how they pivoted their programs, focusing on combatting violence against women and girls with only remote services, and responding to the new public health challenges that COVID brought to the communities they serve.
