Re-Investing in Our Partners: Doubling Down on Women-Led Change

This Women’s History Month, in celebration of International Women’s Day, we’re thrilled to announce two additional years of trust-based funding for our Women’s Health and Violence Against Women and Girls Learning Lab partners, spanning three continents!
At a time when draconian foreign aid cuts are harming the most vulnerable across the globe, these renewed grants are more needed than ever to support our grantee partners in continuing their vital work. At WomenStrong, we know that the sustained, flexible support enabled by longer-term funding partnerships is essential for organizations to thrive and to create lasting change.
To double down at the start of this Women’s History Month, eight women-led organizations across seven countries in Africa, Asia, and the Americas, have just received these unrestricted grant renewals, reinforcing their efforts to advance women’s health and to prevent violence against women and girls.
We began working with these remarkable organizations exactly five years ago on March 1, 2020, just as the COVID-19 pandemic shocked and shattered the world. Since then, in addition to the brilliance, local expertise, and innovative strategies that had won our hearts and our support, these nonprofits have demonstrated extraordinary flexibility and resilience, adapting to the evolving needs of their communities, while continuing to advance women’s health and violence prevention in their communities and sharing their solutions well beyond.
Our dedicated grantee partners include:
Women’s Health
Mujeres Aliadas (Mexico)
Roots of Health (The Philippines)
Preventing Violence Against Women and Girls
Centro Mujeres (Mexico)
Gender and Development for Cambodia
As part of our trust-based approach, these organizations also receive:
✅ Grantee-driven capacity strengthening tailored to their needs, and
✅ Ongoing participation in our Learning Lab, where they can develop, test, and refine solutions in a collaborative, risk-taking environment.
We’re thrilled to support these luminary women’s organizations for another two years as, together, they are building a stronger, healthier, and safer world for women and girls.
