The Girls' Legacy - Partner

The Girls’ Legacy builds the capacity of young Zimbabwean women and girls through leadership development and mentoring, so that they might live empowered lives and become role models and change agents in their communities. The Girls’ Legacy seeks to invest in young women’s education and leadership by responding to their practical needs, providing mentorship, and enabling them to form networks amongst themselves. These networks form a club system that is run by the girls themselves in their respective communities in the outskirts of Harare.

The Girls’ Legacy’s strategies and programs focus on empowering girls, engaging with communities to understand and respond to local challenges for girls, working with local institutions to build partnerships and establish a referral system for service provision, and advocating with policymakers in partnership with other organizations, to highlight the challenges girls face in achieving their rights.
