Naomi Walston serves as the Director of Programs at WomenStrong International. Originally from the United Kingdom, Naomi has traveled the world working in management and advisory roles for major international development organizations working in the sectors of HIV/AIDS, Reproductive Health, Violence Against Women and Girls, Human Trafficking, and Women’s Empowerment.

In Cambodia, she researched the harmful effects of child marriage for Save the Children UK, and the effectiveness of a radio soap opera in delivering reproductive health messages to garment factory workers. In Zambia, she managed Grassroot Soccer’s HIV prevention, testing and treatment program for young people in Lusaka.

After settling in the US in 2011, Naomi focused her attention on fundraising for humanitarian causes and successfully raised funds for Concern Worldwide US to respond to disasters such as Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, the 2015 earthquake in Nepal, and the Syrian refugee crisis. After that, Naomi extended her expertise to more domestic matters and worked with My Sister’s Place in New York to raise resources for its human trafficking program.

Naomi joined WomenStrong as its Development Director in 2017 and is now our Director of Programs, leading the team that coordinates the Learning Lab and WomenStrong’s capacity support to its partners.
