Our Approach

How Capacity Strengthening Works
at WomenStrong

Partners identify their priority needs during capacity conversations with our team.

Our approach to capacity and organizational strengthening is collaborative and focuses on our partners’ own identified needs. Each partner is asked what they want and need, in order to improve their organizational resiliency and achieve their strategic goals.

Partners and WomenStrong co-create tailored, contextually relevant action plans and identify ways that we can provide support.

Individual action plans act as road maps for partners, guiding them toward success in meeting their organizational priorities. We reflect on the ways we can help them meet those needs, whether through our Learning Lab or with one-on-one technical assistance. Everything, from priorities to milestones and resources to timing, is jointly identified, articulated, and assessed.

Partners define their own priorities, goals and what success might look like, and measure and track their progress in their own way.

We meet with partners regularly to check in on their progress toward their defined milestones and goals. Of course, we understand that priorities and circumstances change! We make sure that there is ongoing open communication with partners, and we strive to provide relevant ongoing support.
